Anyone watching the dog show today?

There was a fellow in an Irish Kilt with his wee dog. Shame about the white hose etc. But a nice show.

    a second presenter

There was also a gentleman with the first [retreaver] group showing one of those breeds that looks like a floor mop with dreadlocks [B****].

I did not recognize the tartan [a weathered/ ancient] but he was wearing a Prince Charlie and struck me as well presented.

It was the Irish National tartan. Not my favourite but he was obviously very happy to be there in his Kilt.

And the dog was a Puli, one of Hungary's best-loved national breeds.

Nope. From the picture above, it is obviously not the little puli. I think it is another Hungarian breed, the komondor.

I am surprised how short its hair is cut, but I don't know much about their grooming for the show ring.

My girlfriend told me about the dog leading kiltie, but alas, I did not see it myself.

I caught about 10 minutes of the dog show, including about a 2 second shot of the kilt. Not long enough for me to get a close look and ID the tartan, but what I saw was definitely not the Irish National. It was primarily light blue.

That's odd. The fellow I saw was definitely in the Irish national and he didn't have a Pulle. (Thought I forget what did he DID have.)
I guess there must have been two kilites!

Why didn't anyone mention that the Best in show was Sadie, the Scottish (Aberdeen) terrier? Go Scotties!
