It's from Edinburgh so it must be OK
Wowza.
This came up on Ebay, sold by a company in Edinburgh.
Those people sure know how to put together an ensemble!

A very nice jacket though! Somebody's going to get a bargain perhaps.

I noticed the credit on the photo was for a Vintage Clothing store, so I googled the store's name, and found their ebay listings.
Just a couple of notes before anyone gets too excited. On this particular auction they have this to say about the kilt:
"Made from lightweight machine-washable poly acrylic wool with two leather straps that will allow for some adjustment in size, this is an excellent and affordable kilt by Mcdeura Scottish Tartans, and a perfect outfit for many occasions, whether teamed up with your evening kiltwear or worn more casually with a t-shirt and a leatherjacket for a night out or a football match."
That's right boys & girls, this "lightweight machine-washable poly acrylic wool" kilt is "perfect for many occasions" including being "teamed up with your evening kiltwear." Go team!
But for £19.99 who cares if the kilt is a peice of junk, right? That's still an awesome deal for the jacket & sporran. Just buy the outfit and toss the kilt out. Right?
Nope. Keep reading the description.
AUCTION IS FOR THE KILT ONLY.
Oh well. You are right, the jacket doesn't look half bad, though. :-)

Great! Cover up most of the cr@ppy item you are selling and put a disclaimer in mouse print. I wonder what the seller's rating is.

Aside from the wrinkles in the fabric (which are admitedly a little tough to discern), did anyone else notice that the front apron is not symetrical? Look where the field of white lands on the left, then look at the right.
THAT'S quality right there.

Well there is a lot of tartan tat in Auld Reekie as we well know so the thread title is quite amusing!

At twenty quid I'm not so sure there are pleats... is there a shot of the back of the kilt?

As both Phil and I know pictures don't always tell the truth. Good cautions from Matt and others. If it's too good to be true it is too good to be true.
