A day long in coming...
My wife Catherine and I attended the grand opening festivities for the new USA Kilts store in Spring City this past evening... and we had a blast! Rocky, Kelly and everyone else were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We met a lot of very interesting folks and had some great conversations over good beer and good food. We even ran into a friend of ours that attends the UU church with us here in Lancaster, who was buying a full dress ensemble for his wedding next October.
And, after 12+ years of putting it off... I ordered a kilt. Specifically, a semi-traditional in the Tara tartan. I thought a Scottish garment in a universal Irish tartan would be a great way to honor my Scotch-Irish heritage. And I took full advantage of the great in-store sale Rocky was having to pick up a belt and buckle, kilt pin, hose, flashes and an absolutely beautiful semi-dress sporran in black rabbit with cream fur tassels. I plan to wear the full ensemble for this year's edition of the annual Yule party my wife and I host.
Thanks again to Rocky and the crew at USA Kilts for a great time... I can't wait to get that 5 yards of awesome around my waist!
Jesse
