So my fiancée was out for dinner in the City last night and ended up at St. Andrews. While I was disappointed that I wasn't there myself, I was rather pleased to hear her say that she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary at all about all of the kilted waitstaff. She could even report back about colors in their tartan, the type of sporran and the fact that they were wearing proper hose.

When I'm in Manhattan, I love to visit St. Andrews - the scotch and beer are just right, and so is the food. But alas, my traveling colleagues prefer to walk a shorter route to Jameson's on 2nd Ave. So, I trade off.
I also try and visit whenever I can. I have also found that most of the bartenders are fairly knowledgeable about the beers and scotches they have and can make good suggestions.
