First Kilt, Am i wearing everything properly?

Just got my first kilt in the post today. I'm concerned about how high the sporran is, for when i try to run it does its *flopp flopp* thing.

I'm happy that I'm learning about bits of my history

Sporran is a bit low. Otherwise for casual situations you're doing great.

the sporran belt is on the last notch. and it sits that low. where should it actually sit? the chain sits on the area that connects my legs to hips

Maybe 2-3 inches higher. Basically most guys wear it right in front of their "junk." You have a lean but average build so if you bring it up a couple of inches it should look perfect. If you have to shorten the chain just go for it. I'd suggest making or buying a strap for everyday and casual wear. It creates less wear on the kilt, and IMO is more comfy and looks better in casual contexts.

Overall, you're wearing it well. Kudos. Welcome to the lifelong obsession.

Move the 'hooks' at the end of the chains a few links in on either side. Then attach the belt ( in the rear) wherever it is comfortable.

Don't be afraid to show some knee either.
