Wichita Highland Games and Celtic Festival

I attended the 2nd Annual Wichita Highland Games and Celtic Festival today. Still kind of small, but growing in both size and attendance. It was a little chilly and the wind was intense. Lots of people getting out of the wind in the clan booths. Watched some of the games in progress. Incredible to see someone throw the hammer toss 75 feet. Lots of kilts and tartan. Good food and good companionship. Looking forward to next year.

That's a new one to me. I grew up in Wichita and still have several friends there. Is there a link to the festival? I would like to add that to my list to set up the clan tent.

And I would like to see some pictures! Because otherwise, it didn't actually happen....

Check out www.wichitahighlandgames.com I spoke briefly with one of the administrators and was told that they are always looking for new stuff to incorporate and make the festival bigger and better.
