    Kilts vs Fire Department

    Hell-o all,

Like everyone else I do need to go to the store for some food. So does the fire department. One of the fireman came up to me and said that he likes my kilt, but it does prevent the ladies from talking to them. We did kid about it for a bit, but we both got a great big smile when a lady came up and said that her two favorites were there at the same time, meaning the fire department and a kilt. Made both the fireman and my day.

Glad that you received the compliment.

When I first read the title, I thought that it would be a "My squad / department will not allow me to wear a kilt during duty hours" rant. And I agree with that school of thougtht after watching a fellow firefighter getting burnt legs under his PPE while he was wearing shorts instead of trousers.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

Its difficult to go out in public kilted without some sort of encounter with strangers who approach to chat about something kilt related.

Wonder if the firefighter's department has a pipe band yet?
