Recently arrived to this fine forum, and looking forward to getting more info; not just on the wearin' o' a cilt, but some family history on the Scots side of my family. I'm mostly involved in the Welsh and Irish sides (being of Chicago)of my family, but just want to know more.
I already have a basic Black Watch cilt I wore to daughters' wedding, and an occasional party.
Recently expanded to buying a tan utkilt for some everyday ruinning around. Will be looking for a used Charlie or Argyle coat in 48 or 50 (hint hint) and a semi-formal black one for the occasional dinner. But just staring to look at what's here.
So, on my Irish signoff, I say "SLAINTE'" meaning GOOD HEALTH TO US. But how about one used by my brothers/sisters??
Thanks
Tom
