    Tartan Day at Honey Draw

Got the afternoon off for Tartan Day – well, the boss calls it Good Friday but if I get the afternoon off it’s a good Friday for sure.
Did some hiking at Honey Draw – the first side canyon downstream from the dam.

I like how black looks with the Scott Modern tartan I’m wearing. Sort of highlights the tartan for tartan day. Kilt is hand sewn by Kathy Lare of 16 ounce Lochcarron Strome.
At work this morning the Navajo clients in group wanted a detailed explanation of the kilt, the tartan, the sporran, kilt hose, flashes…being a matriarchal culture they liked that the tartan was my maternal grandmother’s clan.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

A great pic. I could use another Kathy Lare kilt.
