Federal Memorial limited run?
Hey Guys,
As a G-G-Grandson of a Union soldier, I have always toyed with the idea of making a kilt in the Federal Memorial tartan. I've done a few Confederate Memorial tartan kilts for customers, but never did any Federal memorial kilts.
I'm trying to get a group together to do a special run... Anyone else interested? I would sell wool cloth or kilts (5 yarder or 8 Yard Premier kilts) in it.
Full info on this tartan:

Anyone else interested?

I'd definitely be interested in some cloth yardage depending on what kind of price we're looking at. I had been looking at that tartan already, it's on my list, and I had to track it down after seeing the confederate version. So we can honor the memory of our ancestors, and look damn good doing it! I'll be following developments with this plan, I look forward to seeing the tartan woven.

Price will PROBABLY be our standard price for 16 oz cloth... $75 / yard (assuming we get enough interest to do a run of 30 M). I've also put out the call to our Facebook page, so hopefully that will drum up interest as well.

As another G-G-grandson of several Union veterans, put me down as tentatively interested in a couple of yards, depending on price [edit: just saw your post about that, Rocky] and timing. I'm a member (though not very active) of Sons of Union Veterans of the American Civil War - If you'd like, Rocky, I could put the word out on my Camp mailing list... heck, you could probably get a blurb on the national web site.

Another G-G-Grandson of a Union CW veteran (6th US Cavalry) who is potentially interested. I'll also solicit interest from my SUVCW Camp.

I have to get up enough for a 30 M run. I have some interest on here and some more on Facebook. If you want to put the call out to the camp email list, I'd appreciate it. Looking to make a decision on this within the next week or so, so if we DO have interest, they'll need to commit relatively quickly.

If you have a FIRM interest in the Federal Memorial tartan, please send me an email so I can get a 'head count' on how much cloth we potentially have committed. In the email please state whether you want an 8 Yard Premier kilt, a 5 Yarder or simply cloth yardage (and how many yards you want). Email me at: rocky@usakilts.com

I'm in - to honor my two great great grandfathers who served. One was a Squirrel Hunter who defended Ohio against John Hunt Morgan's raid and later defended Washington D.C. against Early's raid. The other served on the front in Tennessee. Been looking at this for years but never knew where to score the cloth. Thanks for this effort Rocky. Gotta be lots more out there to join in....

No more interest, eh? I must say, I was hoping that there would be a couple more people wanting to get involved in this purchase. In any case, I am still interested, and can (sometimes) wait patiently. If this ends up being put on hold, I would happily commit myself in the future, if a commision for a kilt in this tartan comes your way Rocky.

I might have enough interest for a 15 M run. If it's that few, the price will go up, but it can still happen.
