New RKilts British Rebel Tan Leather Kilt

First time I strapped it on - first outing.

A bit of wind dancing in the pleats.

I love this thing. My third leather RKilt with Ranger Belt....gotta have a selection to go with my buckskin leather and sage leather RKilt.

Shirt is my new State of Oregon tartan from Pendleton and the doughboy campaign hat is from Miller hats...and Teva sandals of course.

My leather kilts from Robert are works of art - pure craftsmanship....eternal value.

What a great looking kilt; I can certainly see why you're building a collection leather kilts. Simply superb!

    Congrats,

Here are the other two leather RKilts

Robert calls this saffron - I call it buckskin.

    And the sage green.

    Happy happy happy

Looks good ... I've been pondering a hemp kilt from Rkilts (along with several other options) as a third kilt.

How handy to have a water bottle in a side pocket like that ;-)

Love the look of the buckskin. Are they hotter, cooler or about the same to wear in the sun out there?

I appreciate the photos very much Riverkilt. And to think I saw the leather in Robert's shop! It's a beautiful kilt! And a stunning setting too. We'll done. Robert is so fine and talented. I own a hemp and a tweed from him. Still pondering leather. Thanks for posting the photos.

Nice looking kilt, Ron. Like the salute to the Oregon tartan in the shirt, too! (I need to look that one up w Pendleton!)

Hey Friday - in the summer heat (100F+) the leather kilts just soften up. Sometimes get some sweat around the beltline, but nothing serious. The leather blocks the sun and the bottom is wide open so they're comfy.

In cold weather the leather is a bit firmer, but the heat accumulates under the kilt and of course its warmer like a leather jacket.

I know that sounds weird and at odds with itself - but that's my experience. Maybe think of a leather baseball mitt. Its not too hot to wear in summer heat and it provides warmth in the cold weather.

Maybe there's a scientist on board that can explain it better.

Certainly couldn't get away with wearing leather pants in the summer - but a kilt works.

And, I can't explain it, but there's a feeling of jauntiness when wearing a leather kilt.
