New to the X, from Washington state
Evenin' all.
I'm new to the forums, but not to kilts or the wearing of them.
I started wearing them many a moon ago, and just sorta kinda never stopped..
Just a silly question here, but how many of us can properly pleat a great kilt? ;)

There are a good many kilt makers here (both professional and amature) that can help you with any pleting questions...I am NOT among those, however.

Welcome.
Think you meant how many of us could properly pleat a great kilt....like lay it out properly and roll up in it without messing it up....
Never owned a great kilt for that reason...don't think I have the level of skill required to accomplish that task...

Honestly, the question was sort of a quiz, but mostly rhetorical.
Still, if you can do it, awesome, and if not...awesome
I learned when I was about 11, and yeah, it definitely can be a ton of work. If you like the look, though, it can be quite worth it (My wife...she's, umm..enthusiastic about my great kilt...) Being a historical re-enactor, however, also means it has it's merits.
Sad thing is, whenever I pleat the thing, at an historical event, it usually ends up more as a demo, than me getting myself attired for the day... O.o (At least I get applause for it )
