Here area couple pics of me I just got from people. One was taken in the summer on a Sunday when a certain fairly long street was closed off to all automobile traffic and people were allowed to just walk down the street. It was really nice to see no cars. There was a chalk board on the outside of a cafe where people could draw or write things so I drew up what turned out to be a sort of abstract whale island. The other pic is of me on Sunday, Nov 4 in Halifax (just near Spring Garden road). I was walking on my way to Point Pleasnt park and this person wanted to take a photo of me for his 'humans of Halifax' facebook page. He mentioned on the photo that I said it was starting to get too cold to continue wearing kilts... but what I meant to imply was that it would probably be getting too cold soon for anyone reasonably sane to continue wear kilts - but I never said I was reasonable or sane haha. I don't usually wear a sporran (I have one which I made) ... sometimes I do (like at the art gallery opening for a grou show last thursday I did). I have a big sporran on my back though.
Lookin' good! In both pictures.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
Thanks for the post. I do the sporran-on-my-back too sometimes.

Thanks for the images, pugcasso. I enjoy your sense of style lots. I enjoy the Halifax area too.
Lookin' good! In both pictures. Thanks... I'm sure many people think I look like some anomaly (especially highschool and university age) but what the heck (as many here can attest to)! I had some guy yell out his car window "The war is over" recently. I'm still not exactly sure what that means haha (maybe it's this hat). Originally Posted by KiltedDixon Thanks for the post. Usually when I walk to Point Pleasant park I slide my walking stick in through this loop I made on the back of the backsack so it goes on my back under the backsack (good for in the woods for blocking branches or if I decide to walk along the coast on the big rocks - it comes in handy as a third leg). Thanks for the images, pugcasso. I enjoy your sense of style lots. I enjoy the Halifax area too. I just wear what I like. I gets second hand shirts sometimes at like $5. My "hose here aren't even hose socks but $1 scarves from the dollar store (using garter ties which are 50cents each long boot laces I like). I like the idea of calf wraps used throughout history (winingas of the Anglo-Saxons and Norse ... even up to the puttees up to WWII). I've studied enough art of the surrealists and Dadists and Buddhism and Zen to not be concerned with what an object is allegedly "supposed to be" (that's a scarf... you can't wear that like you do!) ... so using what is available seems reasonable to me. I do have one pair of hose socks and one set of flash garter elastics (but they are both expensive and add up to like $50 - enough for 25 pairs of various scarf leg wrappings haha) but I tend to like how I can wrap these leggings to feel just right. I like some things about Halifax. As far as cities go, it is smallish and I can walk anywhere ~ I don't take a bus very often ... I hate being stuck on them ~ I usually need living near downtown. To get downtown I usually walk up and over Citadel Hill (which is a great view and feels historic with other kilt wearers standing guard. I grew up in Annapolis Royal which also has a historic big star-shaped hill fort ....so maybe I'm just drawn to living near these things (it was great as a kid in winter for tobogganing).
