? Your opinion on Monk Strap shoe worn with kilt and specifically the "Kilty" Monk Strap. Is this to much "kilt" ? And I realize not all will even want to wear a Monk Strap shoe. ? And for those of us who are in an office environment would you consider wearing these to the office ? Worn with tweed suit or blazer/chinos/buttondown/Bowtie. While I do not wear the kilt, jacket or sporran to the office, any other clothing purchases must be able to do double duty. I am considering a Black with silver buckle but the brown is fine enough. Oh and not nearly as expensive as these. If there is a thread for this shoe type already I did not find it with Search so my apologies in advance. Thanks for your opinions.

Shame about the broad welt and thick sole which makes them look far less elegant than they could have been - but that is quite common these days. To my eyes, being most accustomed to seeing men in the type of shoes my father wore, it seems odd to have the perforated upper suitable for a shoe combined with a sole for a boot. Very nice shoe for daywear, a the price is a bit dear to wear any place where they might get wet or muddy. I would have no problem wearing these, in fact I have a sporran bag for my M.O.D. Culloden sporran that matches the leather perfectly!
I wear a black monk strap shoe that doesn't have the kilt. I wear it with my kilt, my suits, slacks, and jeans. Very versatile. 1109_4264177881422_302716687_n.jpg
