are there any bodhran players here?

I am developing a keen interest in the bodhran and would like to discuss it with a player.

You can try thesession.org, although there is no telling what kind of response you will get as they like to pick on bodhran players. You might find some answers by searching there.

I used to play bodhran quite a bit, but not as much recently. It was never a professional gig for me, rather I played at local sessions, as well as when I travelled through Ireland.

    Hey Sailortats,

I'm an experienced bodhran player. You can see me playing a simple beat in the Merchant Navy thread. This video is from 2002. I've taught workshops on the instrument and am a big promoter of it's versatility. PM me if you have any questions, or ask them here.

    Cheers,
