Ironing Pleats
While reading through the instructions on ironing pleats in the Box Pleat Kilt addendum... had an idea come to mind...
The instructions said to go easy on ironing to keep the inside pleat edges from being ironed through...
Back in the Marines (prior to the no iron cammies) used to use a piece of cardstock (heavy cardboard) to keep the buttons from ironing through... gave it a try on the box pleat kilt I am working on and you just need to make a long piece of cardboard and slide it up into the pleat from the bottom end and iron away as hard as you like.
