SemperFyffe your work is an inspiration. I'm very impressed with the quality, effort, and obvious skill you put into your bonnets. Love the cockade designs too.

I've always felt I was in a somewhat rare group being that Im a two-service veteran (Navy/ Army)
How much more so for a three-service veteran! Thanks for your service!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I am addicted to making these bonnets. I keep finding a new color of wool that I just have to seen knit up. My newest knitting addiction is kilt hose which take considerably longer to knit so I have a new found appreciation for knitting the balmorals. There just isn't enough time in the day...

Of course the same thing applies when a sailor joins the Marines!

Not hijacking, just sayin'...
I'm a proud SemperFyffe owner / wearer. I've posted frequently re: his quality, craftsmanship and character. I recommended, in the "Buy a Balmoral" thread, that the OP consider a SemperFyffe creation.
To you, Good Sir...Army only; eight years; two stints over two decades; 3 Arms branches. Well done to you laddie. You've earned a respite. Keep knitting. I sport my bonnet regularly (pg6 "Shows us work of your favorite kilt maker").
Have a wonderful Christmas Season and Happy Hogmanay.
