Austin Kilt Night / Burns Supper?
Good evening,
I have contacted several area groups but no one appears to be planning any type of kilt night or Burns Supper in the Austin area. The closest one is probably Salado, which is about 50 miles from Austin.
I'd like to know what members would be interested in a kilt night? Perhaps we could start small with dinner at Sherlock's Pub?

It appears we have 2 threads going here - a Burns Supper (which will materialize, somehow) and a kilt night and I have also tossed in St. Andrews Day. I am in (for any or all.)

I'm in for whatever kilt night event might be arranged.
If I am correct there is a Christmas celebration held by the Celtic Culture Center in Austin. I'll keep an eye out on their events calendar.

Celtic Christmas at the Cathedral is scheduled for Dec. 20 and 21. In the past it has been crowded - you might get tickets in advance. When I went, I wore a kilt and was disappointed to see I was the only one not performing who was so attired.

Finally, I received some good news. St. Andrew's Day is being celebrated in Austin. Location - Opal Divine's, 3601 So. Congress at 7:00 PM, Saturday, Nov. 30th.

Let's get an idea of who is attending so we can save some tables.

This question has been answered. There is a Burns Supper at Sherlock's January 26th at 5 PM. I know of at least 13 people from another group who are going - no one from XMTS.
