43rd Annual Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade
Less than a week away, Saturday 12/7th for the Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade. Any of the Rabble who may not have a Clan or a Clan that is in the parade is invited to walk with the Clan MacCallum Malcolm Society. The only requirements are to have some tartan showing, smile and wave. A many of year, I’ve had more XMarkers in the unit than Kinsmen.
The Parade begins at 11 AM and ends around 1 PM. You will need to be at our assigned staging area by 10 AM. PM me if wish you to join us.
Here are my pix from last year’s Walk

Ern and Clan MacCallum Malcolm Society make folks quite welcome, as Michele and I can testify. By all means, if your clan isn't walking, or you don't have a clan affiliation, join Ern, and MAcCallum Malcolm. And before you walk, stop off at the Starbucks just off the square, and give a toy to the Scottish American Military Society and USMC Reserve Toys for Tots collection. Michele and I will be walking with our clan, Davidson, again this year.

Plan on attending the Walk, but as an observer. Maybe next year we'll walk.

I do miss this. I used to live in Alexandria (for a couple of years in Hunting Towers, in the building they tore down to build the new bridge, and then by Ft. Belvoir). The Walk was always nice. Looking forward to pictures to remember the old `hood!
