Austin Celtic Festival - Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, noon to 7 PM. Fiesta Gardens, Austin. Anyone going? Can we arrange a meet-up? see: www.austincelticfestival.com for details.
I was up in Austin for the Celtic Music Festival two weeks ago, but this coming weekend I will be at the Texas Renaissance Festival. I didn't even know Austin had a Celtic Festival this weekend. Perhaps I can make the next event they do though.

Don't know what you could have attended in Austin two weeks ago. The Austin Celtic Festival has been going on for years. Features music each of the two days.
I attended the Celtic Music Festival at Sherwood Forest Fair (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sherw...03560709656409). I'm also not a native Texan and although I've been in San Antonio for the better part of a decade (less time deployed) I haven't gotten up to Austin much yet. Though I'm hopefully relocating to Austin in a few months...so I'm happy to learn about cool events like this in the area!
There is a Sherwood Forest Fair in McDade in September. They also have a Ren Fair in the Spring.
I thought I might make it down there this time, but with the youngest boy in marching band, and contests almost every weekend, it didn't happen.

Late getting to this but I will be there Sunday. Plan on listening to most of the bands at the Selkie stage. Hope I run into you CCK
Sorry, I went on Saturday after doing the Zero Prostate Cancer Run (kilted) that morning. The Celtic Festival (kilted) was followed by attending a party that evening (kilted) for a 3-K event day. The Salado Scottish Festival is coming up next month. Maybe we can meet up there.
