I'm probably going to be a bit scarce for awhile. As I've mentioned, I'm working on a design for a jumper for my wife and going to make another kilt for myself. Well, some old friends are getting married later in August so I'm going to concentrate on these projects and try to have them finished in time for the wedding. I will be reading and posting as time permits but I'm afraid Graham will have to take up the slack.
Good luck Buddy! If you need any help with specifics, don't be afraid to write and ask. There's a load of us on here that are more than willing to help. I guess it's a trend here, because I'm going to sit down and make a kilt or two this afternoon! I'm only at 12, and Ham keeps buying! You really think Graham is up to the task?
Arise. Kill. Eat.
Jimmy, the kilt won't take that long to make but the jumper is a pretty complicated project. I already finished the bodice and it looks pretty good. The tough part is I want to give the skirt part the look of a kilted skirt. Considering this is going to be a one piece outfit it's not easy. Now, given my choice I'd have just made a kilted skirt, but She Who Must Be Obeyed doesn't like anything tight around the waist and wanted the jumper style. Just like a wife. Come up with the toughest thing possible and leave it to me to figure out how.
I'm guessing by scarce that you mean that you'll only stop in twice a day, as opposed to the usual 10 or so? Just don't be too scarce, or we'll have a smartass drought. Good luck with the wife's jumper. It sounds like it could be a major time consumer.

Making the bodice wasn't bad and making the skirt shouldn't be too tough but attaching the 2 and keeping the right kilted look is gonna be tough. It's tempting to just make the skirt loose enough to suit her and make her use suspenders.
Bubba, Good luck on your project, I am sure it will come along fine. Graham will do fine in his postings, but I know that I will miss yours.

I'll still be in and out, just a bit less frequently. Even I have to take breaks
