Greetings from Down Under
Hello, everyone!
I'm 36 and a factory foreman. Although my father was Scottish, I never really had much interest in the kilt until maybe a month or two ago, when I found out that the Perth Kilt Run was going to be held in my neighbourhood.
I just got my first kilt on Friday -- a great kilt in Black Watch Weathered tartan. It took a few attempts to be able to put it on neatly, but I think I've sort of got the hang of it now. Not all of my gear has arrived yet. I'm still waiting on a brooch, a wider belt and a sporran (though I suppose that's an optional extra with a great kilt). Anyway, here are the (poor quality) pics.

I've been lurking on this forum for a week or two. It seems that there are a lot of very knowledgeable and helpful people here. I look forward to learning a lot and being able to help where I can.

Are you planning to enter the Perth kilt run in a great kilt? A braver man than me, Gunga Din!
Regards, Sav.
