Trying some new kit
Not only did I receive a new ex-Royal Regiment kilt recently, but I picked up a navy blue, barathea jacket and waistcoat from a friend. At first, I was not interested in this jacket but once I saw it... I couldn't stop thinking of how it could be dressed up or down (and was not the typical Black Barathea Argyll but could be worn like one). It was also a departure from my loved tweeds. Anyway, I decided to wear it all to work today. I was trying for something a bit dressier, almost morning wear. The goat sporran I have been wanting to try out since I made it so I am giving it a go; even if it is a bit too formal for the situation. I do think, however, that considering the conservative and plain outfit as a whole, the goat gives it a bit of flair and not TOTALLY OTT.
