I have one of his surplus Canadian regimental kilts. It is well made and very sturdy. It is about 22 oz. fabric, so depending on your climate it may be rather warm. I live in North Texas, and when we have 100°F weather, it's quite hot around the waist! The fabric is also somewhat more coarse.

I believe that Elijah has one also, and he says it's great for winter wear in Idaho(?).

Jerry Lee is a very good vendor to deal with.

I just did some math on this
the weight of the fabric is 22oz per sq yard right ?
well 22/16 = 1.375 x 8 = 11.

so will this pig weigh 11lbs if it is 8 yards ?
or am i messing up here.

The Kilt is great not only for Idaho Winters, but also Idaho falls and Springs. I'm so glad the weather is getting cooler for the reason that I missed my 8 yard kilt from Apri-August, but now I'm getting to wear it again and have to say there's no feeling quite like a good quality 8 yard kilt.

There's no doubt, it's a great product at a great price. What else can I say, but get it.

Regarding the weight. The kilt weights about 7 pounds. (I remember from the FedEx box.)

Regarding the math on kilt weight- Remember that an 8-yard kilt is not 8 square yards unless the kilt is also a full 3 feet high.
Assuming the kilt is 24" high, (2/3 of a yard) an 8-yard kilt would only have 5.333 square yards, which would be 7.333 Lbs.
