Middle Tennessee Highland Games has returned
After several years absence, the Middle Tennessee Highland Games have returned. This year's event is hosted at the Hermitage, president Andrew Jackson's homeplace, and promises to be a good reboot. It is a one day only event, September 12. For more information, see the attached poster. Hope to see you there!
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction.

Maybe we can work up a Xmarks meet-up and picture to kick off the return of MTHG

Sounds good. I will be running hither and yon, according to the chief organizer, but I'll check with him about the layout, where we could meet and get back on here to set a place.

The Middle Tennessee Games were great

It was great to meet you at the games. I just got home from the Kirking of the Tartans and helping to pack the last of the tents.
We left the Hermitage in great shape, although the staff may be a little confused by the divots in the ground from the games or the linear lines left in the grass from the beer and food lines.
Perfect Weather.
Cool and Sunny with just a little breeze.
Perfect Venue.
Nice and easy to get to, with plenty of shade,
We had a very good turnout. The thing I liked was that we were close to the athletes with the announcer providing commentary and explanations of the event. Some records were broken. i will post specifics and pictures later.
The music was exceptional and every thing was easy to see and hear.
We had lots of positive feed back from visitors.
Next year should be even better.

I was there too and had a great time. Didn't get to meet any other xmarkers, but did join one of the clans. I eagerly await next years event, my family will be back.
