Howdy from Ontario, Canada
Hello, I'm Les, I joined with an interest to learn more about kilts and the culture surrounding them. I hope to one day get myself kilted up!
I'm planning on applying to enter the Canadian Forces as an officer (although I'm still pondering). I adore the RCAF tartan and although I'm mostly French and Eastern European, my grandmother is a Murray and has a Scottish background.

Well met Les. Take your time, as I guess you're in for the long haul. A "kiltie" is a state of being; one of the Rabble is a choice (sometimes not admitted in public) but understood by all here.

Greetings Les and welcome to the the great rabble from Southwestern Ontario. Where are you exactly? There are many of us scattered throughout the province and we do try to meet up from time to time at Highland Games or other events such as Tartan Tuesday, if you are close to the GTA.

Welcome to the forum..... The RCAF tartan is indeed a fine looking tartan. My father, 2 paternal uncles, and 1 maternal uncle served during WW2. One paid the ultimate price. I have considered having a kilt made in this tartan to honour them, but haven't done so as I am not a vet myself.
