We spent Christmas in Idaho with one of my daughters. We had pictures taken out at a trail near her home. . Grizzly didn't find a blanket to sleep in but any hat in a storm as they say We got home and finally got out to Oak glen. The bobcat was out and was enjoyed by everyone (except Grizzly who wasn't sure why a cat was allowed there) There were quail and woodpeckers me and grizz And apples Happy New Year to all

I see you got to take your, after birthday and post New Year celebration, hike. Good for you. My guess is Grizz was keeping your hat warm until you put it on next. He seems a thoughtful critter.
I always enjoy playing outside in my kilts - great walking my Bassett Hound around the Lochs here in Scotland kilted and as long as he doesn't run off into the undergrowth I don't get all scratched to pieces !! Not the same as the beauty of where you were though.

Not the same as the beauty of where you were though. If grizz ran off through the undergrowth he'd make me really mad as there is poison ivy and oak plus stinging nettles there. Luckily he is very obedient and stays under voice control. Technically all dogs are suppose to be on a lead in the conservancy (mostly because there are bobcats, coyotes, rattlesnakes, mountain lions and bears there) but grizz gets a special exemption as his first owner used a shock collar on him so if I put one on him he is incapacitated by his terror. Some day I'll have to walk the lochs in my kilt and hopefully have grizz wander with me .
