It's here!
The mail delivery facilitator just dropped off my USA Philabeg. Woo-Hoo!!
Initial observation - How can you get that much for so little money?
Kelly, it was a surprise, girl. Thanks!
It is in Black Watch and I really admire how good it looks. The Web site doesn't do this tartan any justice.
It was delivered to the shop, so all I could do was do a quick trial fit, but it fits like a glove. Length is perfect, too.
I am truly IMPRESSED!
Rocky, I will get some pictures to you, ASAP. Thanks for the OUTSTANDING service!
Peace,
Mike

OK, the kilt is REALLY nice. I wore it to Bible study, this evening. (Very positive comments all around, but then again, who is going to slam their pastor, right? )
My entire experience with Rocky and Kelly at USA Kilts was excellent. When I balance the money I spent with the quality of this kilt, I recognize what a bargain I got. (Rocky, you aren't going to have me jailed for highway robbery, are you? )
The pleats look really nice (neat touch with the stitching, Rocky!) and will be very easy to touch up with an iron. The kilt hangs nicely and my significant other mentioned that it has a nice "swing". The Black Watch tartan looks SO much better than I could have imagined.
The bottom line - I got a whole lotta kilt for very few dollars. If you are wondering about ordering a Philabeg, get off the fence and get your order in. You will be wearing your USA Kilt much sooner that way!
Some fool forgot to re-charge the batteries in his camera after the Mufreesboro Highland Games, so pictures are going to wait for another day. I will post some as soon as I can. You guys will hate me for it, though, because this kilt is THAT sharp!
Peace,
Mike

Yippie indeed, you remind me when I got my kilt, I live about 4.5 miles from the country post office and I could not wait to get home to try it on so I went to a small park near the PO and went behind a building to try it on. What a great trip..
I am happy for you. and Jealous because I want another.. oh no... I am addicted..

Sorry I missed responding to this Mike, that's encouraging news! I love Black Watch, I tend to feel like wearing for after dark events and places, and my Stewart Hunting for day time, but BW will work anywhere/anytime.
I'm about to recieve my first philabeg, a Gunn, so your assessment is encouraging (not that I have any doubts about USAK)
piccies, piccies please please!!
and wot's this "mail delivery facilitator" don't they call'em posties any more?
One day Mike you and I will walk down the street together wearing our USAK black watch kilts (even if it is that street in the heavenly Jerusalem! but hopefully sooner).
I share your joy and excitement, from one addict to another!
