    Thump Music Sporrans?

Has anyone had any dealings with them? I was wondering why they are soo cheap????

Dad always said, "If it's a real cheap price, they either skimped on the quantity or quality."

My very frugal Scottish grandmother always said the same thing!

    Cheers,

I presume that you are planning your purchase by auction (EBAY). I would use "Extreme Caution" in any dealings with this Seller!!!!! Check this sellers 'FEEDBACK' - if that does not raise an eyebrow then; well... what can I say further! Read on: A while back I won a bid for a really cheap kilt. The label inside the waist band stated Size 40 - they sold it to me as a Size 36 which in fact was a Size 34. I emailed them about the return of the item and was advised to return it for exchange. This I did paying for the round trip postage. After waiting for
a couple of weeks and not getting my exchanged kilt
back I made some inquiries - got a phone number and
called them. I spoke with the most surly unreasonable
customer relations person that I have ever met. "J C Penney would roll over in his grave!" I was refused the exchange because it was sold/auctioned on Ebay
with no return (NOT STATED IN AUCTION WEB PAGE) and further more I did not send enough postage for the
return of the kilt. I sent a check to cover the cost
of postage - same amount that was used to send it to
them for exchange; I even enclosed return address shipping labels! After some discussion I asked since
they were not going to exchange the item; refund any
money to just send the item back to me. They even balked at that implying that my ill fitting kilt was going to be held for ransom til I coughed up more
postage! I was ready to tell them to keep their rag tag kilt for all the trouble; but I then told them I
would do a 'Charge Back' on my credit card for the
entire auction! Their tone changed. The original kilt was sent back to me - No exchange. Their primary business is selling musical instruments. I can not comment about that. But in so far as their
kilt selling talents "It leaves much to be desired"!
Sorry this is so long! I did not leave them any Feedback. This forum here is the best place to leave
feedback. """DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE"""!!!!!
There are lots of more worthy kilt & spooran sellers to deal with without customer relation hassels!

I was reading their feedback when you posted...LOL

It seems their feedback is real hit and miss.

I still like to hear first hand accounts.

Yes. And I recommend not buying from them. I won a kilt in an ebay auction and it took longer to get here than my UK. 10 weeks for a cheap, cheaply made bagpipers kilt. Customer service is very lax as well. They hardly answer their email, and when they do they aren't very personable. It's almost like you are inconveniencing them by being a customer.

One more thing, if you leave them less than + feedback they will berate you in their reply.

If you want to buy Inexpensive Sporran, why don't you have a look at www.stillwaterkilts.com. I have bought from them before and I recieve excellent customer service and quick delivery.

I would second that motion to check with Stillwater!
I have bought 6 kilts; a fly plaid and a couple of
brooches from them and while they might be a bit more
expensive "It is the best bang for the buck in the kilt business".
After sales and service are "OUTSTANDING"!!!!! Something very sadly lacking
with the music broker types. A final note you can
buy direct from Stillwater or bid thru Ebay. You will not be disappointed!!!!!

I checked out their site... Nice looking. I love their Nightstalker tartan!

Not much for selection though. I even looked on their EBAY store..

Send Stillwater an email - check or touch base with
them. Their ebay store has only a fraction of the
regular inventory. They were on a Holiday schedule
last I checked but should be back by now.

Stillwater kilts is, or were, moving and not keeping the website up as well as normal. I emailed them last week about a belt and two of the econo kilts for work, got quick response and the kilts/belt arrived yesterday.
