I had a concert Saturday night, so Saturday morning I went to the local Wherehouse to grab a couple of DAT tapes. I couldn't find them, so I asked for help at the counter. The guy who walked me over to the right place, no sooner than we got there than he asked me where he could buy a kilt. I told him about Stillwater Kilts, gave him the URL and we had a nice chat about them. Nice fellow.
OK, so then I go get lunch and then head over to Kinko's Copy Center to shoot some copies of the music. I'm just about to cross the driveway to go in when this car screeches to a halt in front of me. The woman driving came to a complete stop, coming into the driveway, grinned and pointed to the kilt. It took me a second to realize what sh'ed done, but then I laughed and gave her the thumbs-up and we went on our merry ways, but it was fun. She was driving a Lexus, too.
Oh, and I did the concert in the kilt, too.... but you all would've figured THAT, eh??
(BTW the engineer had the recording levels all wrong and the balance made no sense and the tapes are essentially useless. Sorry, but you'll have to wait another day to hear what tatheigh is all about.
I passed a milestone this weekend, I think. There were several times when I forgot I was wearing a kilt. I was just doing my thing in my regular clothes and completely forgot that I was wearing anything different from "the norm".. Interesting.
