Hey Hey
Hello from Framingham, Massachusetts, USA!
I've been wearing kilts occasionally for many years now, more-so lately after purchasing a few Utilikilts. Their durability is awesome. Just being able to toss them in the wash is nice. I'd like to get a few more, although I might try out a different manufacturer, if only to see what else is out there.
A little about myself: I'm a computer programmer by day and general-purpose nerd by night. (Not having to make 'adjustments' while in the midst of a coding session is pretty sweet.) My non-computer time is usually spent reading, cooking, finding random means of exercise, or just lounging in front of the TV. Lately I've been thinking of picking up some basic sewing skills, as I'd like to make a few modifications to one of my Utilikilts, among other potential projects.
Anyhoo, I'm glad to be here. Take care!

Welcome to the board! If you're ever in Boston, stop on in at the Sunset Grill & Tap in Allston - 112 beers on tap, 400 in bottles, and a fellow kilter who works there.

I'm another newbie - and it's always nice to see another geek on the boards. I wish I could wear my kilt to work, maybe sometime in the future.

Secret computer geek handshake? Hmm, I didn't realize there was a protocol to posting here. It's been awhile since I've done network programming. Anyhoo, in my best pseudo-C++:
Code:
// return secret computer geek handshake
Handshake receivedHandshake, reply;
ReadHandshake(receivedHandshake);
reply->InitAsReply(receivedHandshake);
WriteHandshake(reply);
