I know that this is another question that will draw vastly different opinions, but I'm asking anyway. And, please humor me with an answer.
I have just found the tartan I was searching for was actually Wallace. I have no connection to the name that I know of. I know a bit of the history of the name. Is this enough to wear the tartan? Will I offend anyone within that clan?
On a similar note, why are there so many tartans with the same name & completly different colors. I understand modern, old, ancient, weathered etc. But many times one can find 5-10 different sahed of the same color in an identically named tartan. Whats up?
