    Yeah, his website mentions that they will be closed from 12/22 through 1/6.

    On another note, it also mentions some coming changes to the line up... oooohhhh, I'm getting the shakes just thinking of the possibilities. I really need to consider prefessional intervention.

    I'm jonesing for the Hunting McLeod 2006 standard, and the Irish National 2006 Standard. Haven't even ordered them yet! I did get a Nightstalker 2006, standard, which I asolutely love. Never thought I would like traditional style kilts, but I love them! I'm a 59 year old man. Two days ago I was hobbling down a hospital hall after surgery, with a walker, and wearing my Nighstalker. The nurses were beaming smiles at me. Now that takes one powerful garment.

    This addictiion is brutal sometimes :grin:

    Unfortunately I think you missed your opportunity to get an HW before the New Year. He had some available but you would have had to email him prior to the 22nd.

    Oh well, what's a week or two? ~begins to shake and sweat uncontrollably ~

    Despite the fact that they're to long, after all the comments I've heard about SWK I think I'm just going to have to break down and order one next year.

    Great. I'm jonesing already.

    Thats why they have an unhemmed edge, so they can be trimmed.

    I'm lucky in that the 24 inch standard length hits me right at mid-knee. I'm 6'0". That's with me wearing it high on the waist. They are designed to be worn high on the waist. Trechnically I could have it hemmed up a inch and have it hit at the top of the knee, but I like the waist height, mid-knee fit it gives me as shipped.

    Length seems to be a matter of personal choice. Mathew Newsome's article at the Scottish Tartans Museum debcribes "acceptable length to be anywhere from mid-knee to an inch or so above the knee." A casual kilt worn lower on the waist could be considerably shorter than a traditional kilt worn high on the waist, yet both kilts could actually hit you at the same place on the knee. That's my interpretation. Other's may see it differently.

    Knee length

    I wore my Bear Kilts BC tartan to Long Byotch last night, it wears a little high for me (it's 2 inches shorter than my others at 20"), I call it my sports model kilt. I'm looking forward to seeing the SWK line next year, wondering if the purple Scottish tartan was just a test or ...

    Merry Christmas One and All ! {and Thanks again Robert }

    CT - 8-) have a cool yule y'all.
