How I spent my Christmas
Hell-o all,
I have been debating whether I wanted to share this or not, but I really do want to, so here goes.
Yes I did spend my Christmas holiday kilted, sharing with family and friends, but the highlight of the weekend was on Saturday (Christmas Eve) being able to serve Christmas Dinner to the guests of the homeless shelter I am on the steering committee of. After serving I went to sit with a young man of about 20 who was all by himself and as we were eating and sharing conversation he all of a sudden broke out in tears. I asked what was wrong, that was when he said his Father, who loved wearing the kilt died suddenly exactly one year ago. It was just the two of them.
It makes you think how blessed some of us really are.
Peace,
Glen

Glen, you make me feel like the worst kind of heathen!
I spent Dec.25th and 26th not only in trousers, well, actually overalls...but also spent painting my house.
I got a lot of work done though.
Thanks for sharing your experience Glen.

Christmas Eve was spent at home with wife and daughter, and daughters friend who has no family in the area. This has turned out to be a tradition with us, usually for all the big holidays. Friends of my daughter and sons come to our house for a good meal and some "family" time.
