Its gonna be a Black Twill UK off the scratch and dent list. They're so expensive usually I'd like to save money any way I can. I've had an interest in them for awhile now since I saw Patrick Norton wearing one on The ScreenSavers years back. It wasn't until recently that I saw an ad for a knock-off brand (PractiKilts) that thoughts of getting one came back to me. I think back then I didn't get one because of the cost, and even now its a big hunk of change for me. I thought about going with a cheaper brand but UK is probaly the most recognized modern Kilt. I've never noticed any other kilted men in my area of Connecticut (besides at certain festivals/conventions/events). So hopefully I won't have too much trouble with some of the close-minded/rednecks around here!
Congrats on yer first kilt! Be sure to post pics of yer knew UK! I have a black UK that I got a few years back, and I love it!
Congrats on the kilt and welcome to the addiction!! Enjoy the first of many kilts you will have.

My nickname IRL is Bubba as well so I incorporated that into my SN years ago when I first got online. Now my only problem is waitin for the darn thing! I'll be floored if I get it in time for next weekend when theres a car show I wanna go to.

The ScreenSavers is what turned me onto UKs too. I, like you, wanted one for several years before I was able to get my hands on one. It was a gift and several years later I haven't been able to get another, but my UK (workman's black) is still alive and kicking. I love it. Hopefully I will have another within the year. After having the UK, I now want a tartan. You might look into working the UK booths at faires and such to earn point towards another UK.
Welcome to the addiction! Before long you will be going without food to feed the desire for more kilts! And don't even think about how much you might spend if tartans start to strike your fancy!
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long

That sounds interesting but I'm not sure how one would go about finding more information to do that. I noticed theres that UK has the Northwest Kilt Exchange program. But the main problem with either one of those ideas is that I'm in the NorthEast. Basically all the way across the U.S. from where UK is located Originally Posted by KiltedCodeWarrior Welcome to the addiction! HaHa I allready don't eat much between my sporadic comic book collecting or my Volkswagen tinkering. edit: apparently I forgot the difference between left & right, west & east...
