Wow am I happy today. I accidentally bumped into this one day on ebay and bid on it because I thought I'd take a $23.51 gamble (plus 7.85 shipping). It came parcel post today. it was crammed into a little box and when I took it out it just fell right back into shape. As you can see it still had the tack stitches in it and apparently never worn. The buckles are a little rusty but functional. (someone correct me if I'm wrong) The tartan is Cameron of Erracht, designed for the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders raised by Cameron of Erracht in 1793. It appears bright in the pictures but is very dark in daylight. It was never adopted by the clan. It has 27 pleats and a classic pin. The two belt loops are for a 1.75 inch belt max. All hand stitched. Here are some pictures Tack stitches still in right out of the box Tack stitches out and before pressing Vintage guy, vintage kilt closeup of hand stitching Look at them pleats (quick pressing) Not a bad investment O'Neille
Wow. That looks really classy, and at a price that could never be beaten! ...really, you're probably the luckiest guy on the forums.
A very nice looking kilt. Good find!
Wow! What a deal! What size waist is it?
Good deal on a very nice kilt. Regards, Scott Gilmore
Great looking kilt. That's a very good find indeed. Keep looking, you never know what you may find. E-Bay and estate sales account for the majority of my kilt stash. I've found kilts by Hecter Russell,Geoffrey Tailor and others for under $100.
Outstanding deal on an outstanding kilt! BRAVO!
Paul Murray Kilted in Detroit! Now that's tough.... LOL
