Snagged by Google news clipping service: A visiting Scotsman was denied entry to a prominent Canberra nightspot on Saturday night because he was wearing a kilt. http://canberra.yourguide.com.au/det...ral&m=9&y=2006
The author, publisher, or editor were very kind to the night club in that they didn't give a name. I guess it just goes to show the differences in journalism in different places. Our press revels in revealing the details. O'Neille
This is bad, very bad. I have left a message on the bar's answer machine. If you want to contact them, it is North Bar, Canberra, marketing@icbmbar.com Let's all sent complaints to this place, they MAY get the message.
The bar's website is here
done! .....if you do E-mail these narrow minded people let us know! I did! NEXT Scott
Irish diplomacy: is telling a man to go to he)) in such a way that he looks forward to the trip!
From the news article: "Mr Morrison said people often asked him if he had anything on under his kilt. "I don't really answer." Surely the bouncers weren't afraid of concealed weapons?
A guy isn't let into a bar and it makes the news? Slow news day.

This happened in AUSTRALIA? ....in CANBERRA? I am shocked...shocked! Best AA
It sounds like the bar employee's were quite rude. It does bring back memories though of being refused entry to bars while in the military because we were ... military. I guess the regulars were tired of having their a$$e$ handed to them every night and their girls leaving with us Maybe the manager of the bar knew what was coming when he saw a man in a kilt
