A friend of mine says he has relatives who are part of the Fergus (he emphasizes "NOT Ferguson") Clan.

Does anyone have access to an image of their tartan?

From what I can tell, Fergus and Ferguson are one and the same.

That would make sense, since Ferguson means "son of Fergus".

Which is why I thought it was a little strange that Prestor John's friend emphazied that they are not the same.

Even in the gallic "mac" means "son of" so the clans are based on descent from an original holder of the name.
