New CCK Kilt
After a couple of issues with shipping, my army green canvas 6 yard kilt with matching flashes arrived from Canadian Casual Kilts ! It fits quite well a little loose just like I ordered it (I put on weight in the winter). I really like this material although it will take quite a while to "loosen up". I have a hakama made from the same material and it has held its pleats without ironing for 3 years (although I do fold it up every night). I can guarantee that I will not wear this kilt out. Period. Here's a shot of me wearing it in our back yard:
And for a close-up of the pleats:
The pleats look great although there appears to be a little deviation in their width at the top but maybe this is normal? (I don't know how to make a kilt, just how to wear one) The flashes are a little off in a couple of places but I like the design and Pete gave me a really good deal on them, so I can't complain in the least.
Overall, I'll have to give the kilt a 4.5/5. It fits well and will last forever. Even my wife likes it (who is not a fan of kilts).

It looks good and will blend well with a lot of items of clothing.

If I may interject a note here.
Look at the pic of the back of your kilt. See how the pleats are pulled up in the center back? That is because the two loops in the back of Traditional Style Kilts are not, repeat, not, belt loops.
They are sporran loops. The sporran strap go through them and they hold the strap in place under the level of the belt.
The belt then goes over the top of the loops. It is purely decorative and does not go through any loops.
By putting the belt over the top of everything else it will not pull the center pleats up and out of shape causing that unsightly pucker in the back center pleats.
Other than that you have one very nice kilt there. Your whole outfit is well thought out and quite well co-ordinated.
Good on ya.

I didn't know that  , it's neat the new stuff I learn (almost) everyday.

You say that you only put the sporran through and not the belt.
Barb and others say neither the belt or the sporran go through.
Still others only the belt goes through.
I've also seen most guys at Celtic events with both belt and sporran through.
Face it there is no consensus only opinion.

The kilt looks fantastic! Might I ask why you ". . .can guarantee that I will not wear this kilt out. Period." ?

I had to read this a couple of times to understand.
He will not "wear out" the kilt when he wears it out.

Nice look for sure, particularly the sweater and the belt.
I do it wrong too, belt AND sporran strap under the loops.
Have taken to wearing the traditional kilts without a belt more often though. Like it.
