    Kilt on "Barney's House"

OK. My wife picked up a video called "Come on over to Barney's House" with everyone's favorite (SARCASM!) dinosaur.

In the second or third scene, the girl and boy find a "magic globe" that lets them hear music from allover the world. the boy turns the globe and lands on Scotland. Suddenly, they're both in kilts, the boy and the girl.

Only things are NOT right at all.

She has on hose an flashes. She says "nice skirt" to him, only to be corrected by Barney saying "that's not a skirt. its a kilt. worn by the bravest men in Scotland to formal occasions."

Now, for the boy's Kilt. It's TOO short. He's got no flashes or hose and no Sporran!

You'd think the folks at Barney's studio would have done some research.

This is yet another reason that Barney must die.

I remember when I was a little kid seeing a Barney episode with a bagpiper. Don't remember much else.

But seriously, a five minute trip to Wikipedia would have provided them with enough information to avoid that… misunderstanding.

    And yes, Barney should die.

    Die, Barney, die!!!!

I remember the old Zipple! control panel for the Mac OS 7.x system software. Had a couple Barney Zipples that could replace the Apple icon in the menu bar. Showed Barney exploding or being squished by a wrecking ball...

Anyway, yeah, it seems that it was crossdressing night in the studio when that was recorded...

Now I'm totally confused! Are we talking about a television program?

I always thought a Barney was just another surfer term for geek.

Barney. Now, now. You people don't get to down on Barney. He was a God-send at a time when my kids were smaller and much more entertaining and educational than those freaking Teletubbies &%$#*&!
