My freakin' awesome SWK: a unbiased review
Black Stewart, SWK, thrifty.
First off, I'm in Canada. Somehow Jerry strongarmed somebody to make sure my kilt was here in less then 10 business days (He must be very very strong).
When I ordered my kilt, I was nervous and not expecting much. I mean come on, it's a 30 dollar kilt. I was very surprised to see that it was packaged very very well and all was in order as though it had never moved.
We had ordered a kilt for me, my 2 year old son, and another for 2 converts. sporrans and kilt pins. The one converts $80 was gorgeous and I am now getting it's twin. How the heck do you make such a beautiful cloth like that for 80 bones?!!!....anywhoo.....
I put on the Black Stewart and noticed right away that I got more then I could have paid for. The kilt pin was a steal for 5 bucks and the sporran was very well made for what I paid for it (the tanning process on it makes it smell a touch, but to be expected).
My son, he is freaking out because now he looks like daddy with his kilt. And his was an incredible bargain. 17 bucks for a pleated kilt?!!!! Jerry, your boys over seas done realllll good. He looks like a little stud.
The hoze are what I have expected for 12 dollar socks, but feeling the hoze pull over your calf is a thing of beauty, so again, surpassed what I thought (You see, I didn't think the hoze would fit on my legs). The flashings also work perfectly with my UK original.
So in short, you can't miss with SWK. Thanks Jerry. If you ever want to sponsor a Cage Fighter, just let me know!
On that note, the other Black Stewart I ordered with this one is for my team mate. I have made the decision that all of my boys will be kilted walking to the ring......which by the way you will see me do this Dec 15.
Cheers.

I do like that Black Stewart tartan. It's certainly grown on me. Might have to add that tartan to my ever-growing wool list...

A fine lookin' kilt; I've always liked the look of the Black Stewart. And your boy looks great in his kilt, too.
SWKs reputation for speed & value are well earned! Something didn't look right about the first photo & then I realized what it was - those dumbbells don't go with the kilt because with Stillwater Kilts, there's no "weighting."
Very cool that you'll be wearin' kilts to the ring! Be sure to let us know how that goes. (Hopefully, with pics?)

Zing! Seriously though, those kilts look nice. For 30 bucks? Maybe I DO need a muck-about hiking kilt...

HAHA, love the pun.
Thank you for your compliments, my boy is very happy to have one.
And yes, I will be getting someone in our corner to take pics. I am looking very forward to this.
Oh, and if its of interest, here is one of the sites I keep profile on.

LOOKIN' GOOD BH! Now please don't hit me for this suggestion. It looks like your sporran chain is a wee bit tight, it is causing a "bulge" on the upper side. If you have hips, (unlike myself) it should stay up when a little looser. If not, you may want to consider adding a belt loop in back just for this purpose (I don't believe the thriftys have them).
I also paricipated in MMA in my youth. Kicks, punches, blood, aches and pains, but we called it RUGBY!!!
