Kilted Trip to Maymont in Richmond, VA, USA

My wife and I celebrated a weekend away from the kids (plus valentines day, my birthday, and one of our anniversaries) by heading out to Richmond, VA. We spent a couple of hours hiking around the grounds of Maymont. All of these pics are from there. We also visited 2 breweries (Legend & Richbrau) and joined JayFilomena at a Kilt Night at the Capital Ale House.

I am wearing my second X-kilt that my wife made me, out of a grey cotton/poly (more cotton than my other one), its knife pleated. I am also wearing my Xmarks t-shirt and my brand new Stillwater Nylon Cargo Sporran.

    To the pics:

    end of the kilted pics.

I wrote and a much longer post with pics and stuff but lost it (my own fault).

No comments, but a few stares. There were a bunch of Girl Scouts (several groups) and I didn't even hear much giggling. ;)

That sounds wonderful. Picnicking there with the family could be wonderful I'm sure, too. It would be nice to live closer, although we have nice things down here in Newport News too, but different.
