    I can't do it!

There is an arctic fox full mask sporran on sale at ebay for US$180.

Even though I have made the comment that I would like to make my dog into a sporran when she passes, I am having a hard time with this. I can't get over that it DOES look like my dog. And even though I think she would make a great sporran, I just can't do this.

Anyway, my reason for posting this is that maybe someone here will bid on it and remove any temptation to get this.

Well, for me it's more a question of it looking like the sporran is wearing you instead of you wearing the sporran. Just too much...

That certainly is a fine looking sporran for a good price, but I can see where it might look a bit too much like your very cute pup.

I would consider bidding on it except I won the last one they auctioned on ebay, and I don't think twins would look good, no matter how big my lap might be. It really is a nice sporran---absolutely gorgeous as I said in my feedback.

It would make a great practical joke though! Stick the dog in the bedroom for a couple hours, tinker around in the workroom for a bit, then go show the wife what you did with "fluffy".

One thing I just noticed about this vendor's auction listings: in each of the listings he states that the pictures of the specific animal sporran you are seeing is the actual one you will be bidding on and recieving. However, looking back over his prior auctions he has used these exact same pictures on several previous auctions, also stating on them that they too were actual pictures of the animal sporran you would be bidding on, and all of those auctions sold. Seems like the guy is not actually taking pictures of the sporran you would be getting, rather using a generic picture of each type of animal sporran instead of the actual sporran you are bidding on. A little shady if you ask me. I am satisfied with mine, and honestly can't tell it from the one in the auction listing (I printed mine out in full color for my records) but it is still a shady practice, especially when they make a specific statement in each auction that it is the ctual sporran you will recieve. Maybe they have a farm which clones badgers, red and arctic foxes, and raccoons so they all are identical in appearence.
