DIY, Self Sufficency Info
I found this listed on a forum I frequent. It's 13 Gigabytes of info for DIY, self sufficiency and so forth, developed for third world nations. It's well worth a look.

That's going to take a LOT of paper to print out!

Wow,
That's almost reason enough to buy another HD.

I'm afraid to even open the link... There might be something useful there... I'll go back to growing my cacti and oranges now...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Ted, there's a ton of useful stuff there. It's 13 Gigabytes of technical development info for Third World countries. Everything from agriculture to computers, metal working, and almost anything else you can think of.
I think there's stuff about citrus growing as well.

Actually, Southern Breeze, some of that sounds like what I've been looking into for the last ten years out here in the desert suburbs. Things like low-tech hydroponics and hydroculture; the use of Opuntia cacti for all kinds of things including water purification; gray water management with passive irrigation grids; native and naturalized desert food crops; and living in a disposable, alumanum box... Oh ya, the compost and worm farm that makes it all work.
I was going to sell the place and move into a small apartment back in the city, as well as, squeeze a traditional kilt and outfit out of the sell off. Then, things got a little weird econemy wise, so I'm thinking maybe I should stay put. I had shut everything down but the fig and citrus tree factory and the tortoise food, though.
Maybe I will click on the link...
