What: Guided hike (I'll be kilted, others may not be as I'm also offering it to the Asheville Hiking Meetup group)
When: 7 February 2009, 0900 hours
Where: Montreat watershed 15 miles east of Asheville
Particulars: Weather will be a big factor in the final destination, but the ideal would be from Montreat to the top of Graybeard Mountain, approximately 8 miles round trip with 3,000 foot total elevation gain. Lots of historical features; lovely forests and streams. If we get on the trail soon after 0900 we'll be back between 1500 and 1600...just in time to grab a few brews at the Green Man brewery, then hit Jack of the Wood pub for dinner before the Gaelic Storm concert at Grove Park.

Other stuff: We could meet for breakfast in Black Mountain before the hike. We'd need to be at the restaurant by 0730.
