    Thanks, Graham.
I use PhotoBucket, and there's a way to specify when you're uploading that pic is for use on a forum. PBucket then automatically sizes it correctly.

Don't think there's anything on XMTS itself that lets you size the pics, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist!

I am far from an expert on these matters, but yes, I think photobucket does it for you.

I've noticed that when I save files to Photobucket at at higher resolution (300 ppi), they tend to display too large on this forum, I usually end up knocking down the resolution to decrease the size that the image appears... Plus, higher resolutions are overkill for this site and probably only serve to bog things down.

My camera takes pictures in a very large format. I find myself cropping and resizing everything before I post, but I use Photoshop on a nearly daily basis at work.

As amatter of course I always resize photos for the internet so that the longest dimension is 800 pixels. Seems to work for just about everything.

yup. Resize to 800x600 (or there abouts) and 'save as' another file name before uploading to your picture site of choice.

Two birds with one stone, just tell PhotoBucket to resize them for forum use during the upload. . . works a treat.
