Hello from a Re-enactor
I'm a Late-Roman, Romano-British and sub-Roman Brittonic to Anglo-Saxon period re-enactor based in York in the North of England. My family have been on the English side of the Welsh border since the 16th century and have an old British/Saxon name that spawned a long standing 'Welsh' one. There are Scottish variants of my name but aside from my aunt being born there, I don't have any immediate connection with Scotland that I know of.
At the moment, I just have a modern style casual kilt of Scottish Pride commercial tartan by Lochcarron Weavers for fun. My main interests are in 17th century dress, weaves, checks and patterns and I'm most likely to aquire something untailored but I have an appreciation for Scottish military dress to the Victoran period.
