Sailing is the one time that I don't wear the kilt. But I have just come back form a one week trip where a kilt was very much part of the sailing experience.
I've had a length of the last run of XMTS tartan waiting to be worked on, as a box pleat using Barb and Matt's supplement to the TAOK. The trip to Victoria BC for this Friday night's bacchanalia was the spur I needed, but there was a sailing trip right in the middle of making the kilt.
The solution! Take it with me and work on it in the cabin at night. The skipper kindly provided this photo and caption.
Right now I still have the center back lining to sew in and one waist strap. So back to the sewing table - I leave tomorrow morning!
