Office Christmas Party
Last Friday evening was the office Christmas party. I had gone home to feed and walk the dog and change into my kilt, and had dozed off watching the news.
So, I arrived about 45 minutes late to the office Christmas party. Everyone was already seated for dinner. Although the majority of the staff are Chinese or Vietnamese, we were having the party in a Persian restaurant of all places (the food was great). When they saw my kilt, the staff stood up and gave me a standing ovation. Not at all what I was expecting. Afterward, they lined up to have their pictures taken with me.
I'm wearing National Millenium tartan with lovat green kilt hose and red garter ties, Thorfinn badger sporran, a green argyle and a tam from Ferguson Britt
Here are a couple:
Violet Fong, our Receptionist, told me she liked my purse

Sherry Chu, a caseworker, was practically bouncing up and down, she was so excited about the kilt. She calmed down for a few seconds while the photo was taken.

Great photos, it sounds like your party was a success. I really like the FB tam, I almost picked one up myself when we were at the museum. I really like the outfit very festive.

And now you know the true meaning of being "fashionably late." It's impossible to make an entrance like that when you're the first to arrive. Well done!

Great outfit! The greens work very well together.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
