What is your favourite tea?
While the wife and I enjoy coffee to its fullest, we also love a nice cup of tea. This got me to wondering what peoples favourite brews might be? Maybe there's a cup out there somewhere in the depths of the kettle we need to find and enjoy too.

I am also a huge fan of coffee, Peet's to be exact. But, once the sun is over the yardarm it's Either Earl Gray, Irish, or even green tea!
I like a good strong cup, and done loose with at tea ball is about the only way to go!

It's been a while since I've been to the shop to buy any of these, but hubby and I loved http://www.mariagefreres.com/
There was a Wedding Imperial tea that we especially enjoyed from them. Been craving more lately (we have a tea tin with that logo and that particular tea on it that I see every day in the kitchen)... just haven't wanted to fight traffic to go to that shop or see if we can find a closer one. It's more fun to shop in person -- they'd let you smell the teas and sample some stuff. Yum!
There is also an interesting tea called Lapsang Souchong that is very interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapsang_souchong

Oh! I just remembered the name of the shop in Dallas, Texas that we'd visit http://www.culturedcup.com/
They moved from another location that was a little closer, so we only went to the new location once. Thanks for reminding me to look them up again!

I drink a cup of tea (black tea with a little milk) pretty much every morning; I might have a cup or two of green tea around lunchtime on a stressful day, but generally need to avoid caffeine after that or I don't sleep - one of the sad effects of aging, for me. Still, I can do roasted green tea (almost caffeine-free!) and often prepare a nice herbal tisane of sorts after (or while I prepare) supper.
I love lapsang souchong and other smoky teas, but not usually first thing in the morning, so that is a rare treat. And unfortunately my current favorite black breakfast-style tea is a relatively expensive Yunnan/Assam blend called Big Ben, available only through le Palais des Thés in France. I just finished the last of my little stash - no more until next summer!

We used to drink a lot of Earl Grey, Irish Breakfast every now and again, tried Lapsang Souchon but found it a tad bitter, and now quite enjoy Tazo Chai. Not often we don't have a cuppa in the evening.

NewGuise, I understand about the caffeine issues... I've had to switch to decaf due to some health issues (I probably should avoid all caffeine, but that's not happening). I think that may be another reason I've not restocked on some of my favorite teas. *sighs* Still, the occasional cup as a treat sounds sooooo nice!

Imperial Gunpowder Green Tead from Stashtea.com is my favorite. It's really good as iced tea too.

I love a good Irish Breakfast. I could also go for a good English Breakfast or Earl Grey. And Tazo makes a good one called Passion. I don't remember what all is in it, aside from rose hips, but it's good stuff.
I just ordered several varieties from Twinings, though, and am trying some new blends.
Mixed Berry was delicious, as is their African Rooibos.
